Randy George is a manufacturing and industrial project and operations manager and instructor with 40 years of accumulated experience in the rail and energy sectors. Throughout his career, he has worked predominately in Canada for Class 1 railroads and large corporations on projects involving rail equipment maintenance, renovation and new builds during the front end, detailed engineering, procurement, execution and close out phases. He also has experience working both in the USA and internationally.
Randy possesses a solid understanding of lean manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JIT inventory, Kaizen and value stream mapping. He is also familiar with Six Sigma methodologies.
Randy has been an active member of the PMI Southern Alberta Chapter since 2006 and has served as a volunteer with the chapter for 8 years in various roles including VP Programs, VP Operations and he is currently the President of the chapter. Throughout his tenure, Randy has been dedicated to the continued professional development of the members within the organization.
